Why Non-Women Gamers Should Play Fall Guys

If you’re a woman like me who sucks at every game or doesn’t know how to play games but you want to dive into the realm of gaming, this is a game that will not make you feel bad about your gaming abilities. Ladies we’ve found a solution!
WHAT IS FALL GUYS: ULTIMATE KNOCKOUT ?
August 4th, 2020, Mediatonic and Devolver Digital blew us away with Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, (available on Playstation 4 and Microsoft Windows) a 2020 platformer battle royale game that reminds you of the game show Total Wipeout. Up to 60 players can join and compete in matches with battle royale-style gameplay. What’s so enjoyable about this game is that you get to play as cute and colorful jellybean-like figures and play different obstacles making your way to the top winning the crown. And the more points you score, you get rewarded with new outfits, patterns for your character, and new colors!
OBSTACLE COURSES
But wait, there’s more. Fall Guys has different types of obstacle courses that are crazy! (shown above is a course called “SeeSaw” where players have to balance themselves to the finish line.) As a girl growing up, I wasn’t good at games as my brothers, they were competitive and professional, and most of the time they hogged the game systems. What’s a girl supposed to do? I found my profession elsewhere as a writer. I had my fair share of gaming as a kid playing Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Mortal Kombat, Sonic The Hedgehog, 007, Metal Gear Solid, etc. but was I any good? Nah. I never had any good set of games that I can enjoy and not feel like a sore loser (except for Fable and Tekken). When Fall guys made its way into the spotlight, I found a game that was right up my alley.
Some courses can be easy and tough, once you get the hang of finding a quicker way getting to the finish line, you will never get eliminated, consider yourself top dog when you see other players fall. Sorry, not sorry! And to feel a little good about playing this game, is that my brothers suck at it! Oh, how the tables have turned.
PLAY WITH TEAMS
It’s even more fun when you play with teams. If you started playing the game, other players who have been playing for some time will already have strategies for your team to win, and you can pick up on how the games go by looking at all the other players if you missed the goal. You never feel like you don’t know what you’re doing.
IT’S OKAY TO LOSE!
Trust me, I lost plenty of times and you know what? It’s okay! You can always join another lobby and try again. The experience for me was fun and made me want to try again and enjoy playing with other players online. Sure, they might hold you up from the finish line or push you off the platform, but it’s fun to get back in there and do the same thing. Get revenge!
IT FEELS GOOD TO WIN!
Ah yes, the glorious crown, of making it all the way to the end. It feels good. Whether its for the competitiveness, winning for fun, winning in the nick of time, or winning by complete accident, it feels darn good seeing your character at the top excited and it makes you excited as well.
I recommend this game to women who want to pick up a new hobby or activity, or something to share with family and friends, or with a partner who also like games and want to have fun together. This game is for you!
